A Good Watch for Health Conscious Casual Runners
This is my 3rd in line of Galaxy Fitness products. Started with Gear Fit2, to Galaxy Watch 6, now Watch 8. What I noticed immediately is that this watch is user-friendly for runners and overall fitness.

NEARLY PERFECT
I had the GW7classic and loved it. However, I bought the GW Ultra (2025) for the health monitoring capabilities. I’ve had cardiac arrest and open heart surgery and needed a watch that had reliable heart monitoring. The GW7 did okay, but wouldn’t register my HR or ECG during lightly extensive exercise. Once I got the GW Ultra, that wasn’t an issue. It picked up the ECG during a strenuous hike and detected an AFIB episode. It gives me great peace of mind.

Nice Upgrade
I bought the watch in March of this year and have been wearing it for just over a month. I replaced a Galaxy Watch 5. I was a bit worried about the slightly larger size, but I honestly don’t notice any difference in the size or weight. Using the Smart Things app, the transition of extremely easy to switch the majority of my settings and apps from the old watch to the new.
